well...if my 1st post is kinda a warn for our eating habits...here's my 2nd post..since this blogs is to talk about some specialty foods and beverages, especially F&B's from Manado, North Sulawesi...it might be uncommon, strange, suspicious F&B's...but still ..its meant to be enjoyed...

Here comes the 1st......

Nasi Jaha' aka Nasi Jahe aka Ginger Rice
 what the hell is it......
its one of Indonesian rice based traditional food...
in Indonesia itself this food comes in many forms, names..etc..depend on the add'ons ingredients, cooking methods...and the Province where it comes from, since indonesia had so many province so the name of this delicacy....like Nasi Jaha', nasi ketan or nasi lemang, etc

so what is Nasi Jaha'
Nasi Jaha' comes from the province of north sulawesi, the name Nasi Jaha itself derived from Nasi Jahe or ginger rice, things that make this delicacy different with other indonesian rice based delicacies is how it was made or cooked...nasi jaha can be enjoyed as a stand alone delicacy or with some other North Sulawesi traditional foods such RW, Tinorangsak, etc...

how it's been made
1st prepare the banana leafs then place it inside a piece of bamboo, then put in the rice mixture inside the bamboo..then grilled the bamboo..when it done just peel the bamboo then serve..hohohoho
